Saddleworth What's On — a hand-drawn map of everything happening in the villages

A community-run, hand-drawn map of Saddleworth — every pub, café, restaurant, hall and club in the villages at its real spot, the walks and sights in between, and a live calendar of what’s on, from quiz nights to the Rushcart.

The geography is real: 120 venues, the lanes, the canal, the railway and ten thousand building footprints are baked from OpenStreetMap, then dressed as a storybook map — a narrowboat on the cut, a train that vanishes into the Standedge Tunnel, sheep on the tops. Anyone can post what’s on — landlords, bands, quiz hosts — each listing owned by its author, with venues able to claim a verified pin. Visitors rate venues, propose missing ones, and wind the calendar a year in either direction.

Local Space — a live map of our corner of the galaxy

Every planet, moon system, comet and deep-space probe — and more than ten thousand real stars out to 100 light-years — in one continuous, explorable universe that runs live in your browser.

Everything is computed from primary scientific sources: spacecraft trajectories from NASA/JPL Horizons, star positions and motions from ESA’s Gaia DR3 catalogue, orbits from JPL’s small-body database. Wind time forward 20,000 years and watch the constellations dissolve; fly to Jupiter and land among its moons; follow Voyager 1 from its 1977 launch to interstellar space.

The AIgility WMS Demo — a warehouse you can run in your browser

A hands-on, simulated demonstration of AIgility — our warehouse management platform — running entirely in your browser against a fictional distributor. Sign in as the goods-in operator, the QC inspector, the picker or the manager, and work one connected day: a delivery arrives, gets checked and put away, feeds a works order, and leaves again as a picked, packed, despatched sales order.

Every step is real inside the simulation: tasks write movements to a live stock ledger, orders advance through configurable workflow state machines that fire notifications and integrations as you approve (or reject) them, and the 3D floor plan draws the actual walking route your picker would follow — bin by bin, level by level. Nothing here is the production system; all of it shows how the production system thinks.

Live community platform

Saddleworth Pool League — a real league, scored live from the table

The live, official home of our local pool league. Teams and supporters check fixtures, results, league tables and player merit rankings — and on match night, captains unlock live score entry with their team PIN and record the match frame by frame, straight from the table. It installs on any phone as an app.

The scoring flow is built for two rival captains on two phones: player picks are blind commitments, hidden from the opposition until both sides lock in, and a frame result only stands when both captains’ calls agree. Nothing is ever stored as a total — every table, merit ranking and Elo rating is recomputed live from the raw frame results, so a single correction ripples cleanly through the whole season.
