I've now spent over ten years working across industries and sectors — from SMEs to global powerhouses. In that time I've worked with all sorts of software and platforms to deliver solutions that solve problems, record data and produce documents.

Every single one required a huge investment of money, time or training just to get started. And each piece of software was great in its own area — finance, stock management, reporting — though sometimes it was little more than a glorified database.

More often than not, several pieces of software and hardware had to come together to deliver everything: your ERP, your warehouse management system, maybe a bespoke quoting tool. And despite millions being spent on off-the-shelf solutions, there were always back-office spreadsheets that no one quite knew about — quietly tracking spending or usage in the background.

What is AIgility?

We're still in the early stages, but our goal is to deliver a highly customisable, configurable middleware that brings everything together — without costing hundreds of thousands to buy, and thousands more in consultancy fees to configure.

A system that connects directly to your external systems and pulls your information into one place, in a way that doesn't need a technical background to set up. Workflows you can customise — to notify the right people when something happens, or move data into exactly the right place — with you in charge. Instead of custom spreadsheets that need updating by hand, or someone remembering to act when something changes, AIgility does it for you, with your rules in place.

  • Cost a fraction of the off-the-shelf platforms — without thousands more just to configure it.

Where are we up to?

The technology is currently being finalised and tested with a client. To begin with, they needed a solution that could bring people in from their Active Directory, create those users across their existing systems, map the fields between them, notify the user, their manager and the wider team to act (IT assets, HR and so on) — all managed from a single, easy-to-use console.

Longer term, they need the same engine for products, customers, suppliers — and probably a whole raft of other data besides. That's the point of AIgility: the workflow you build once works for whatever comes next.
